Cheyenne and Mahlia's Story
"Our time at Wise Acre was truly magical. We have never had an adventure like this. When we arrived our first night it felt like we had just driven straight into a fairy tale...
The most magical moment of our first day was the scrying pool. It felt like we traveled back in time as we dressed for the occasion with special Cosplay garments from the Wise Acre Costume Cabin. While gazing into the water I took in nature's reflection. Waves of energy seemed to radiate from the subtle flow of of the water. It's almost as if you could feel the power of the earth.
During our visit we opened up to Marcie sharing with her stories of our lives we had tucked away for so long. We both felt safe, like we were finally able to open up and recognize how these experiences helped us grow. Our wedding day was unforgettable. It's a day that will forever be the best day of my life. As we both walked the labyrinth that morning I knew we were right where we needed to be. Our ceremony felt so perfect. It felt like us, like everything was meant to be.
Each part of the ceremony felt like a part of us and each part was merging together to form an enchanting whole.
On our last day, it was so hard to say goodbye. We gained a new family in Crested Butte. Each and every moment felt magical. I truly felt like I found part of my soul during our trip. I've gained new beliefs and I'm ready for new beginnings.

But this simple wedding set in a circle of trees and honoring the couple's love of mountain and rock climbing and honoring family members who are no longer with us, is by far the most powerful wedding ceremony I have ever experienced."
~ Guest at Jen and Jess' Handfasting wedding which employed a 50-foot red belaying rope. Bridesmaids and grooms held this as it was used for the Handfasting cord for the wedding.
Honeymoon mead
"So it is in the heart of Wise Acre, a warm hearth of family, loved ones, winged and wild ones that allow true love to be witnessed. To be celebrated. And to soar."
"I always knew I'd love to participate in a ceremony like this, but to go through all the steps of the planning really makes it real!
Marcie encouraged us to make special time and spaces for us to talk about and collaborate on our ceremony. Marcie was always there for us along the way, to ask questions and for guidance.
We had a very small and intimate gathering. It had snowed alot the day before our handfasting ceremony. Snowy white paths led to an altar where Love unites with the wild heart. We were witnessed by our loved ones as our handmade Criss cord bound our love to the limitless realms of the endless sky. We feasted together and we even prepared our first homemade Mead with local honey and asked each person to add a special object and/or blessing to the brew--and we look forward to tasting the creation of our collective intentions in a year and a day.
I am blessed to be in Love and blessed to have had the glorious experience at Wise Acre. Marcie and Mark are so generous, thoughtful and inspiring. They supported us to truly celebrate our love, and in doing so, they help us share our love with the world.
